Tips for Cleaning Out Your Child’s Nose Bulb

If you’re a mom, you’ve more than likely used a nose bulb before, but are you aware of the built up bacteria growing inside of it?

This photo was taken by a mom who cleaned her nose bulb after every use. As you can imagine, she was shocked by what she found inside – a build up of grime and bacteria.

Keep those nose bulbs bacteria-free with the following cleaning method:

1. Fill the bulb with a mixture of aspirating water, dish soap and bleach

2. Allow the mixture to soak inside the nose bulb over night

3. The following morning, clean it out thoroughly by draining the mixture through the bulb string

4. Continue to run water through the nose string until the water becomes clear and the bleach smell is gone

NOTE: THIS CLEANING METHOD SHOULD BE USED AFTER EVERY USE. NOSE BULBS MUST BE REPLACED REGULARLY, DEPENDING ON FREQUENCY OF USE.
